A method of soap making that requires you to cook the lye completely out of the soap. The soap is ready for immediate use but I allow it to cure for a week so that it may harden up a bit more.

You cannot make soap without using lye. Lye or Sodium Hydroxide mixed with fat and or oil chemically react with each other (the term is called saponification) to form soap.

While the soap is ready for use once it’s hard enough to cut, I cure it for about a week so the bars can harden up some more.

We color our soap with natural colors based on powdered herbs, and or spices. For an example our lavender soap is colored with unsweetened cocoa powder that turns the soap into a rich dark purple.

Body butters are blended with Shea butter and or mango butter, coconut oil, and a variety of essential oils and herbs.
